Crystal Palace Eye Former Real Madrid Player as Potential Replacement for Eberechi Eze

Eberechi Eze, 27, looks set to complete a blockbuster transfer to Arsenal, with reports suggesting that both clubs have reached an agreement on a fee in the region of £67.5 million.

With just over a week remaining in the summer transfer window, Oliver Glasner’s team have been forced to act quickly in search of a replacement, and sources indicate they may have already identified one.

Meanwhile, with Marc Guehi also potentially departing, Crystal Palace’s lack of effective recruitment has become increasingly evident, as the club has only added two new players since last season’s FA Cup triumph.

Borna Sosa and Walter Benitez are the only arrivals at Selhurst Park so far, though the Eagles could be lining up a significant move before the September 1 deadline.

Everton have been pursuing their own target throughout the summer, attempting to lure the 19-year-old to Goodison Park, but their bids have consistently fallen short.

Southampton remain firm in their valuation of Dibling, setting his price at around £45 million. By contrast, Transfermarkt lists the youngster’s value at only €25m (£21.6m). When asked if Eze’s departure to Arsenal would complicate his hopes of keeping Dibling, manager Will Still offered a strikingly candid response.
